My role

Client discovery, information architecture, UI design, WordPress implementation, launch, and maintenance

Environment

Public website for a healthcare consulting company

Tools

WordPress · Responsive Design · Custom Domain · DNS · SSL/TLS · Contact Forms

The challenge

What needed to be solved

Translate a specialized managed care and pharmaceutical consulting offering into a concise, credible website that healthcare decision-makers could understand quickly, while keeping the experience focused and easy for the client to maintain.

The approach

How I worked through it

I gathered the client's requirements, organized the requested Home, About, and Contact content into a focused information architecture, refined the messaging, created a restrained teal-and-blue visual system, and implemented the responsive experience in WordPress. I also handled navigation and link corrections, custom-domain and SSL setup, device testing, and iterative client review.

The result

What the work demonstrated

Lodestar launched with a clear public presence that explains its formulary, managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid expertise, guides visitors toward a focused contact path, works across screen sizes, and remains supported through ongoing content and technical maintenance.

Process

From problem to validation

01

Define the scope

Clarified the client's goals, audience, required content, and preference for a focused website centered on Home, About, and Contact information.

02

Structure the message

Turned the source material into a clearer content hierarchy covering expertise, approach, company background, and the primary contact action.

03

Design the experience

Created a clean healthcare-oriented interface with teal and blue tones, stronger typography, balanced spacing, and a consistent visual rhythm.

04

Build responsively

Implemented the site in WordPress and adapted the navigation, content sections, calls to action, and contact form for desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.

05

Configure and validate

Connected the custom domain, confirmed SSL, corrected navigation behavior, tested links and form flow, and reviewed the experience across devices.

06

Launch and maintain

Published the approved website and continue to support content updates, link corrections, domain configuration, and design improvements as needed.
